Humor: Ways to overcome a bad day

1. Smiling at people has got to be the best way I have seen to both increase your overall well being and make people see that you are personable. One of the best benefits of smiling is that people will smile back returning the favor you gave to them. A smile will brighten anyone's day and give them a positive among all the negatives everyday life can have to offer.

2. Exercise is not only great because it helps to keep your body in excellent condition but it also helps keep your mind and mood in check. Whether it's the runner's high or the satisfying sleep you can get after exercising at the gym, working out can have its benefits. Exercise also has goals associated with it that will boost your mood when you reach them. This can give you an extra accomplishment to look forward to everyday.

3. Getting a good night's rest will make you more alert and focused causing you less stress and helping you see things in a more positive light. Bad moods are generally a snowball effect. When you start the day off refreshed you may be able to avoid a few things that could have upset you had you been groggy.

4. The more people you talk to throughout the day the more you will feel like you are building relationships. It is always a good thing to know you are making more or deeper friends and talking with other people can help you shake bad experiences off or even just give you a morale boost. People are the best way to get your mood up, but can also bring it down, so be careful.

5. The most important thing at the end of the day is to relax. Even while you're working your mind doesn't have to be running at its highest speed. You don't have to be stressed while working. Just try to take things in stride more often. When you get home from work, do what needs to be done and then take a rest. There is also no reason why you should be busy all weekend long. Pick the most convenient day out of the weekend and take that day off. Everyone needs a little break because the stress that we can build in a work-week can actually be dangerous.

Take your breaks in life and listen to these tips. They can help you be happier overall and stop stem the tide of stress. Life can be difficult enough without you allowing unnecessary things to ruin your day. These five things can help your stress melt away. Have a good day!
