Where is God?
This is a good question because, I don't understand why we see what Jesus is to look like, right? I was pushed pretty hard to go to church as much as I could when I was young. I do understand the Bible to a point. SO, why can't see what God is to look like? There are some things that confuse me though. I've lost faith through the years because of-where's the proof that God even exists? Who was I praising all those years? Now I don't believe in something I can't see! Where is he anyway?
I've had so many battles through the years and prayed to no end, and had faith at one point, but was I helped? NO! I prayed to Jesus and to God. There's things that people say God is forgiving and Jesus the same. God is good and he doesn't punish etc. Then they say that god will punish you or lightning will strike you for something you did that was wrong. I mean, which is it ? Just when one looks to the sky and prays-one can't see Jesus nor God. What's with that? Granted it's all right for anyone to believe and when things they pray for goes right, they truly believe that the prayer had something to do with it. Maybe it did or maybe it didn't, but who really knows? If one believes that it did then that's fine and from then on, this keeps them believing and praying even more.
I'm sorry to say that I've given up on believing and faith. I just let the days go on and on then take it from there. Whatever happens each day, I deal with it-good or bad. How can God help everyone all the time. It's almost like believing in Santa Clause. You believe, but cannot see him. Later you realize, there isn't a Santa Clause! Well, that's how I see this where is God thing? In the Bible we see pictures Of Jesus but not God. I never really did understand that. God is good, God is great and a loving God! Maybe to the ones that believe. Yet, he can punish you. I wish someone would get it right, then maybe I would start believing again. But for now, I don't believe in something I can't see.
The way I understood was, that God/Jesus sees all. God is watching you all the time, know if you're good or bad (like Santa). If he sees and watches over you - why isn't he there when one calls on him? How can he see everyone at once? If he's there, why can't I see him? Why doesn't he let one see him at that particular time?
If I look to the sky or look up to the ceiling in church and pray- where is he? I'll be darn if I can see him! Let's just say that someone prayed for goodness and to keep them safe- well, then they leave church and get into a car accident and are killed. Was God there then? Where was he at that time? It doesn't look to me that he was watching over that person then. I probably will never figure that out. I've given up, but the ones that believe, I wish you all the very best, I really do.
