It's four o'clock on the third Saturday of the month. You kiss your husband and kids goodbye, pick up your overnight bag and try not to run out the door. It's been a long week, a tiring week, but you know that by tomorrow, you'll feel much better. Why? Well, tonight is all about you. It's your girl's night out.

You and three of your friends have been reserving one night a month for your own little pampering and gossip session for several years now. You meet at the hotel at five and spend the evening relaxing, giving each other manicures, pedicures, or makeup sessions. Sometimes, one of you even comes out with a new hairstyle. Or you may just order a pizza, have a few drinks, and watch a movie. However you spend the evening, you always return home the next day relaxed and already looking forward to the next month.

The basic rules are usually the same. You all go in together and rent a room at a luxury hotel, preferably one with an indoor pool and hot tub or spa. That way you can enjoy the amenities of the pool and spa before retreating to your room for the remainder of the night. Each person gets a turn at being the "celebrity" of the group. That means she get to pick the hotel or motel and designate the food of choice for the night. She also gets to choose the agenda for the night. If she just wants a movie, she get to choose the movie.

Tonight, you are the "celebrity." The hotel you chose has an indoor pool, a spa and a sauna. You can't wait to relax in the spa. Then you just plan on everyone getting a manicure and facial. You've made sure you have all the essential products needed, but you know the girls will bring some stuff of their own. Everyone always does.

Dinner is often pizza. But tonight you plan on surprising the girls. You already ordered dinner to be brought to the room at 7 p.m. Your choice for tonight is Chinese.

Since dinner won't arrive until seven, you and the girls will have a couple of hours to take a swim and relax in the spa and sauna. A drink will help with the relaxation. This is usually the time when little talking is done. You all know you have the rest of the evening to discuss anything and everything.

After dinner, the pampering begins. As the "celebrity" you get extra treatment. This may include a manicure and a pedicure, as well as the facial. But everyone gets their share of pampering. And the best part of it all is the laughter and fun that you all experience. The feelings of being "sisters" gives you all a special bond.

Tonight, as a little extra perk, you've arranged for a lady who sells adult novelties and lingerie to stop by around ten and show some of her products. So just as the girls are starting to wind down, your guest will show up. And you already know, the girls will be thrilled.

You don't know if any of you will get much sleep tonight for talking and laughing, but you'll still feel great tomorrow as you head home. You've had a fun and relaxing girl's night out. The worse part of it is knowing you have to wait another month before getting to do it again.
