The Truman show is an intellectual movie. I don't want to say something about my feelings. I will create the monologue for Truman, Christof, Sylvia, audience and Marlon according to my understanding.
Truman: Who am I? Who are my father and mother? Who could I trust? I come from a drama, live around a group of actors and actresses when born. Everyone wears a mask that they all are afraid of revealing any information about their unfeigned thoughts. No one gives me their true hearts, except for Sylvia, she loves me and I also love her. It is the most real feeling in my life. I will go out of the prison where all think is paradise but I don't think so. I will explore the unknown world where a lot of people watch me. I will pursue the meaning of my life. No matter what difficulty I will be faced with, I won't give up. Sylvia, please wait for me.
Christof: I am your god and give your life and everything that belongs to you now. You are my son and my most cherished thing in the world. I am your closest relative. You belong to this world that exists only for you. There are the safest, most comfortable and carefree place. And I will prepare for all just like your father. I can't imagine what the Sea-heaven will become without you. Not only I but also all the people who love you deeply long for you to go on living here as usual. Only could you believe in that everyone accompanying with you for your life is your friend and loves you very much. They give you so much as not to be glad to leave you. They don't hurt you forever. Please consider others' feelings when you make your final decision. All of us will be very happy to see you to live there.
Sylvia: Truman has the right that each person has inherently. No one has the right to deprive of it whoever you are. Christof, you and your company have destroyed his childhood, and you are still preparing for ruining all his life. I will do my best to fight against you. I will tell him about all at any cost. Your lie will become history and shit. You could not prevent me. You are doomed to losing him.
Audience: We have watched the Truman show for tens of years. The show just is a part of our life. Most of us watch this program just like watching a friend's life instead of an actor's. We can relax ourselves by seeing him. We will share happiness, pleasure, sorrow, depression and confusion with you. We look you as a close neighbor. We wish that you can live in the Sea-heaven forever because we love you and there is our ideal paradise. We wish you are safe, healthy and happy forever. It seems to be cruel that you live there and we watch you. But actually we are jealous of you profoundly. No matter what decision you make, you are our favorite superstar.
Marlon: As Truman's friend and an actor, I don't know which role is true. I feel I am dreaming. I have played with Truman since born. Many wonderful memories are so unforgettable that it is impossible to treat him as an actor or production. Because I have experienced two kind of life inside and outside, I am not willing him to finding the truth. I prefer staying in the Sea-heaven to surviving outside. People can't be satisfied. They pursue the better always. They don't understand life just likes a play and people are performers. Who knows what is true on earth. If a butterfly flies in your dream, which one you feel is more real, the butterfly or dream?
