Out there in the huge world of computers, what do we, as movie-makers find? Yes, a ton of programs designed to help you make that perfect stop-motion movie. But which ones are best for stop-motion? Well, to begin with, it does depend on what you may call "best" because the movie-maker program may have the bells and whistles, but not the content. There are affordable programs, and a little bit far away programs, which you may need to consider before you buy your things for stop-motion filming. Before computers took a wide role in making movies, it was probaby a lot harder to make movies! Here are the ratings for some of the programs that are some of the most well known, with affordable prices.

Adobe Creative Suite 4: This is one of the best, with a shiny big price tag. It includes wireless tap in for your camera, so you don't have to spend time downloading all of those countless pictures to your computer. This is an OK program, built for a lot of types of video making, like stop-motion. I would say this is a 5 out of 5.

Windows Movie Maker: This is just like all the others out there, yet is kind of "oring" with not as may bells and whistles as others, but with the same functions. This is a great program for beginners and experts alike. It is confusing at first because of complicated "hidden" effects, where sometimes it just doesn't turn out the way you want it to. This is available for windows, but not Apple. 3 out of 5.

I-movie: This is for Apple computers, and includes cool interfaces, and stuff like fancy movie effects, cool slide features, with easy to use programs. It is a very good program, with good guides, and live help on apple.com. Some of the downsides are that every time a new version of the I-movie comes out, you just can't resist buying it. Also, importing does take a long long time. 4 out of 5.

VideoStudio X2: This is another program that is not well known as others, with an all-in-one program, with recording, DVD maker, and a friendly user guide. At around 100 dollars, this is the most affordable movie-maker ever! With also an easy understandable style, you can edit, transfer, paste, copy, and publish, because seriously, this movie-maker can do everything!

Now that you know a little about the programs out there, let me just say that there are a lot more out there, but these are just a variety! Good luck on making stop-motion movies!
