A vocal portion of the population sincerely believes that the USA is a traditionally secular nation and therefore has no business observing or maintaining any aspects of its largely Christian heritage.

How sad. Not only do they completely miss out on a clear historical truth, but the things they seek to banish from American life have grown and preserved our prosperity over many decades. They seek to ruin the moral underpinnings of this great nation - the very reasons why we are such a great nation. If they have their way, sooner or later we will be just like any other nation out there, and therefore not so special anymore.

One especially big danger is organizations like the ACLU and Planned Parenthood who seek to indoctrinate our kids with their liberal, amoral ideologies and use the court system to purge every trace of Christianity from public life. We need to fight back and regain turf they have taken: prayer in school, easy access to abortions and emergency birth control, the right to teach creation theory alongside evolution theory, etc. If you would like to oppose such organizations, there are rival conservative organizations that have been set up to counter the damaging effects, such as the ACLJ and Focus on the Family. I encourage you to check them out.

Finally, live your values in your own life. Be a good neighbor and show others that there are still people who care in this world. Vote in every election - but be informed about the candidates! Write letters to existing representations on subjects in legislation which matter to you. If you have a blog, use it to speak out about issues impacting our society. And pray - for our leaders, our people, and most importantly for more people to find salvation through Christ.

It will take action on YOUR part to stem the tide. Starting today, stand firm and help win America back.
