A puppy looks nice and adorable and that is the reason that many people want to adopt a puppy. They see in the beginning only the positive things but don't think on the consequences.

Adopting a puppy is an agreement for many years. You need in the first place to inform about their race. A puppy is not great but it is possible that you have after a few months a great dog. If you want that, it is OK, but many people adore a little puppy and a great dog is often not what they want. It is very important in the choice of adopting a puppy.

Adopting a puppy means also that you have to care for the daily food. You need to know which food your dog needs, that it contains all the necessary vitamins and how many times you need to give them food. Some food can be very dangerous for dogs by example chocolate. If you give your puppy many chocolate he will die very soon. Avoid this and be careful also with other sweets.

A puppy needs also movement. If you live in a house without garden it is necessary that you walk daily with your puppy or dog. Movement is very important for their health.
You need to consider that adopting a puppy is also a time investment. You need to spent much time in different kinds of training. You need to learn good manners and behavior, and certainly a toilet training. Toilet training is necessary to keep your house clean and your puppy needs to know what is allowed and not allowed. Punishment is sometimes necessary for some actions like trying frequently to bite.

Adopting a puppy means also a limitation of your freedom. It is not always possible to take your puppy with you. Surely if you want to make a travel you need to know that someone can care for your puppy.
It is also important that you consider that you need to spent a lot of money for your dog, not only the purchase but also expenses for their food and their health.

It is very important that you go to the vet with your puppy for the necessary vaccinations and a regularly visit is important.
If you have children be sure that your dog is safe for your children and that his behaviour is child friendly.

If you adopt a puppy and you are aware of all these things your puppy will be your best friend.
