I'm slowing realizing that when a cat goes in heat it's enough to make a person crazy, maybe somewhat homicidal...or even suicidal...i have no window out just the annoying misery of hearing her bellow which makes my blood curdle...I am slowly getting to the point where i can ignore her, 2 more weeks until she can get fixed. I am horrified to see that when it came to "helping" her i had only 2 options, and believe me the first was not an option, for me or my husband. It's called Q-tipping your feline, and it is exactly what you think is, the thought of placing a Q-tip there on my cat is absurd...do people actually do that?! We are a military family, and we have 2 options for vets here in japan, the the one thats speaks english or the one that speaks japanese, the vet on base is excellent, but the waiting lines for spays and neuters is unheard of, in the springtime you can walk among the midrises and hear the poor pathetic hollow moans coming from several cats who have been kicked out side...and of course you have the japanese vet, who is expensive, and of course the lovely language barrier. So most of us wait...and wait...and then finally the phone rings and they schedule the spay, and then a day later call back to reschedule at a later date...isn't there another option! Other then getting them fixed, or doing...the other? Or am i cursed to listen to her bellow in the night calling for a mate that can't reach her anyways?
