The Blues
when I have the blues
It is You that I come to
my friend, my foe
how is it that both is so?
my heart is heavy
I try to make it light
I bring out my passion
with you in the night
each time the feeling grows
and it shows
conversation heavy, conversation light
at last I can talk with my mind, my soul
a long time it has been
reaching this goal
I cry out the blues
my friends draw near
no longer do I fear
for in my heart
God is here
holding my sorrows
my tears fall like rain
washing out the pain
so I can be whole again

and clearly joy becomes old news,
I know I know from other trials
