I have often thought this will be the first thing you hear said to you on judgement day,
"I TOLD YOU...,"
To not to be so angry and forgive those who did you wrong,
To heap coals of kindness and not to render evil for evil,
"I TOLD YOU...,"
That money was the root of all evil and would not last,
That you could gain the whole world and still loose your soul,
"I TOLD YOU...,"
You to help others in need,
That I loved a cheerful giver,
"I TOLD YOU...,"
AND
"I TOLD YOU...,"
My son had paid your debt for your sins,
All you had to was confess your wrongs and accept it,
It's not about how perfect your works were that gave you salvation,
It was the payment of my son's blood,
"I TOLD YOU...,"
If you reject him I would say, "Depart from me for I never knew you..."
If you would accept my son died and rose from the grave you too could enter Heaven and receive and inhertance with him,
"I TOLD YOU...,"
WHY didn't you listen? It was a simple plan, I only ask for you to confess your wrongs and invite my son into you life,
Make him Lord and Master,
And when you didn't listen when "I told you" I had other people tell you,
One servant begged you on Helium to repent and be born again,
"I TOLD YOU!"
