Top Five Goriest Movie Scenes
I am a multi-genre music fan. I enjoy movies in a similar fashion. As long as a movie is engaging, entertaining and delivers a compelling message it has my undivided attention.
My movie tastes have changed slightly over the years. The first gory movies I remember vividly are Carrie, Abbey and the Exorcist. So my taste for horror began at a young age. As a young adult, on the advice of a friend while I was healing from a tragedy, I became interested in some animated and Disney family movies. A few of my favorites include James and the Giant Peach, Lady and the Tramp and, although not animated, Dennis the Menace and Richie Rich.
Comedy has always had a place on my agenda. No one can forget the likes of Chevy Chase, Goldie Hawn and Tom Hanks when it comes to laughter. I do not watch as many movies as I used to, but comedies that made me laugh not too long ago were Why Did I Get Married and Wedding Crashers. No matter which movies I watch in other genres, nothing will make me forget several scenes in certain suspense/ thriller and horror movies that I found particularly gory and unforgettable. They include:
Scarface 1983, directed by Brian DePalma. The capstone of the shootout in Tony Montana's Miami mansion was particularly gruesome. The worst part is when Tony blasts a number of intruders but unbeknownst to him an assassin named "The Skull" is lurking in the shadows. A Columbian Druglord named Sosa sent the Skull. Tony failed to deliver a job he promised Sosa, which involved murdering women and children. Tony never sees the hired statuette-like, gun, coming.
He comes from behind creeping silently, one painfully measured step at a time, with his double barrel 12-gauge shotgun and blows a gigantic crater into Tony's back. Tony falls over the balcony and lands in his own waterfall pond. Talk about a devastating blow to the body.
Amityville II: The Possession 1982, directed by Damiano Damiani. Apparently, this movie is based loosely on a true story. At any rate, an evil spirit possesses the main character Sonny Motelli. During one scene, Sonny uses his photography skills to manipulate his sister into having sex with him.
The goriness sets in motion one night, while he is lying in his bed in the dark listening to music with headphones on. Instantly, Sonny lunges from the bed and begins shooting his family members one by one. The freaky part is that he killed his younger brother last, after he had killed everyone else. He chased the poor kid
