Designing sneakers can be an easy and fun way to express the creative style within you. There are many ways you can architect your customized pair of "sneak's," so that you can be the expressive person you truly are. Why should you buy a pair of shoes, to only flaunt the color or style that they come with, when you can interchange them? What about those custom airbrushed sneakers that you've might of been wanting for some time now? With various techniques and your willingness to create, the possibilities are endless in designing your very own pair of modified sneakers.
The Velcro Technique
The Velcro technique is an easy method to customize and design your pair of sneakers. You must first have shoes that show a logo or symbol on them such as a Nike "swoosh" or a New Balance "N." What we're going to do is take these logo's or symbol's, on your sneakers, and make them transposable in colors by using Velcro. How can you do this? Keep Reading to find out.
First, you will have to go to your local fabric store and pick up some Velcro tape and fabric. When picking out your Velcro tape, you will need to make sure that it's of sufficient size to your logo or symbol. Your fabrics can be of any colors or designs that your heart may desire and you can purchase as many as you like, as well. Be sure to have a good pair of scissors because they will be of the up most importance when shaping your fabric's and Velcro tape's.
When your done purchasing the few items you need, it will be time to construct your new-colored logo's on to your sneakers. Try measuring your fabric in comparison to the area that you're covering. After you have exact cutouts for the symbols, you can then proceed to make the same for the Velcro tape cuts as well. Stick one side of your Velcro tape on top of the sneaker logo and then your fabric on the other. Now you have Velcro-changeable colors for your sneaker logo's!
The Permanent Marker Technique
This permanent marker method of design may be self explanatory to some and can also be a great way to reflect some personality in your sneakers as well. The only drawback is that you must make sure you have a light colored pair, otherwise the marker may not show correctly. Other than that, get ready to show your artistic talents!
First off, you will need a piece of paper, a pencil, and at least one permanent marker. It is advised that you have more than one color of marker, considering that you want your shoes to look spectacular. Be sure you definitely want to take
