In the morning, as the veil of sleep wears off,
a thought is sent into motion.
A body is set into motion.
Curiosity is piqued - it is at that point,
as caffeine halves the heaviness of hooded eyelids,
that a sense of responsibility sets in.
Another day has begun -
with it another chance to revel in the belief
that with curiosity and generosity, we may thrive.
And tomorrow another day will begin,
limbs will loosen from stiff slumber,
and another chance to truly reach out to the world,
another chance to really bring in that world,
presents itself to each and every one of us living this life.

whether I am in control.
Maybe there is such a thing as fate,
or maybe
