What are the best Natural Asthma treatment Methods?
Every parent with a small child that suffers from asthma knows that feeling of total helplessness a parent feels when their child can't breathe. Of my three sons, only one had asthma as a child. He had very severe asthma attacks that often required hospitalization.
There are different types of asthma, some are allergy related, some are seasonal, some are sickness related, sometimes there doesn't seem to be any underlying cause at all, most often people who suffer from asthma have a combination of things that trigger their asthma attacks. I have a brother who had allergy related asthma as a child which was very different from the asthma my son had.
My son's asthma was triggered by seasonal changes, illness and more often than not, no underlying cause at all. Anyone who has a small child with asthma knows that as much as inhaled corticosteroids work, they also make the child jittery and nauseated. My son hated the way his nebulizer medicine made him feel and they rarely worked for him any way. His attacks almost always required predisone shots or pills because of the severity of his asthma.
Because he hated the inhaled medications so much and because they rarely worked for him, I was constantly trying alternative treatments. I've always been a big believer in herbal remedies, so we tried them all. Ginkgo Biloba, Enchinacea, Goldenseal, Nettles, Cayenne and Licorice, I could go on for days...we tried them all. Maybe some of those work well for people with less severe types of asthma or asthma that is only triggered by one thing, but they didn't do anything for my son.
Then I heard about using hot chocolate or cocoa more specifically for asthma treatment. S O bought some of the just add water mix and made my son hot chocolate the next time he started having asthma symptoms. I was just amazed bu how well it worked, so I went online to find out why.
Why Cocoa works to treat asthma.

Coffee and teas have been used to treat asthma for generations, because of the caffeine content, but most kids won't drink coffee and giving them a sugary cola isn't good either.
