I am understanding that term wealth in this context is understood as having a large amount of money.
Health...I know so many people that really want their health back and they have tons of money. They live in pain and all the money in the world cannot stop it. To have good health far outweighs money. Healthy body, healthy mind, happy life.
It appears that in todays society there is so much confidence in placing our happiness in the "Almighty Dollar". Will you be thinking of your money as you are having a heart attack or when a loved one is dying at that very moment. If you are, you must be a vulture. I know that seems extreme, but would you be thinking this?
Money and having it is an illusion. Security of any kind is also an illusion. The state of the world economy proves this. It goes away as quickly as it was gained and is so easily lost. You have more control over your health (given you were born into a healthy body without any previous congenital defects). Unless you are absolutely blind or just in sheer denial of the current world economy, money is not a huge factor in life. Here today, gone tomorrow. Evidently this is the way our current situation towards money and the attitude towards it is.
People are losing their jobs and homes at record rates of speed, the stock market is volatile, banks are crumbling and we all are wondering (no matter what our fiscal income is), how it is going to affect us. Money is affecting everyone I know.
Every day we hear that far too many people are without health care and are challenged to keep their health. I understand money is a question for everyone to have health care. We are living in such uncertain times. It is very scary, but we will make it through. I am hoping and praying that the new reforms on health care will take place. Our health shouldn't be a privilege.
We really cannot have one without the other can we. For those of us who are healthy and able to work, we must take care of ourselves. Now is the time not to take your health for granted. Things can change in life in a moment. Be very mindful of how you treat yourself.
I also know the same amount of people worried about their health. If you don't have your health, you are going to be very challenged to go out and make the money. Money just doesn't appear on the doorstep like so many of us think these days.
Without your health you will be hard pressed to have monetary gain, so please, if your health is not in danger, do your best to stay healthy. No wealth in the world can buy you the sheer freedom and joy of a healthy body.
