I imagine
A world. With people
who love, live for each other, defend helpless strangers
Oh, it will be beautiful.
A world where there are countless life forms, all living as
one, a perfect system of existence.
It was so exciting so I did it.
I imagined it all and it happened.
Blue skies, green trees, high mountains, and vast seas
Animals upon it, and people, of perfect functioning and adapting design.
I did it and it worked. But then something went wrong.
People stopped thinking of each other, living for each
other, and they adapted.
They built cities and became lost within them, fighting each
other for small pieces of it, and they adapted.
Not what I imagined.
So I came to help.
I fell here, I tried and tried, but they fought me. Sensed I was not like them and fought tooth
and nail, afraid that what is different can't be good.
So I tried to fit. Live
amongst them. As best as I could, I
tried. I couldn't let my dream go to
waste.
So I keep trying Thousands of years, trillions of lives, but
only continually worse.
NOT what I imagined.
Time to pull the
plug.
So I close my eyes, the world begins to shake, and people
become worse as it folds upon itself.
But then.
I hear a baby's
laugh, see a couple in love, remember the real reasons for the wonders they
built that even they no longer understand.
I blink, and notice each time I open my eyes, there is a
chance to see a new world..to make it better.
So I dare to hope.
And then.
I imagine..
And here you are again.
Make the best of it.

Jumps in my eyes
I wonder
What it is saying
My soul has
No encyclopedia
No microscope
To watch

If I can make it one more day,
I know that things will be okay,
I've placed my faith and trust in Him,
He won't let me sink;
