It is a known fact that prostitution is the oldest known profession to man. The ancient rulers were revered for the hoards of herums they owned. These women were like slaves to their rulers and often sold as profit to other lower ranking officials. Television and Magazine advertisers has used female sexuality to sell products for years. Most female recording artist can barely get a record deal or sell records with out having to bare most of there young flesh. Sexual inunendo's can be heard in some of the most unsuspecting commercials such as the M&M candy commercial. You've seen that commercial where the male M&M candy characters drool at the mouth when they see the legs of the sexy female M&M candy lady. Today it is one of the biggest selling points in American and European advertisements. Just look at the multi-billion dollar Porn industry. Nobody's trying to create a federal law to throw them into prison. Most of the male judges wouldn't allow it anyway, especially since looking at porn on the internet is one of their favorite pass times.

I am not condoning prostitution what so ever. As a matter of fact I wish that females could see their bodies as a priceless treasure. However; this society has created a mind set in which many females are easily lured into using their body as a cash register. Every where they go there exposed to wearing clothes that bring out their sex appeal. Many females are approached by men willing to give them money even when their not soliciting prostitution. Many people want to blame drugs and alcohol addictions as a cause for prostitution. Drugs and Alcohol is actually a way to cope with their addiction of believing this is the best way for them. I'm not saying women don't often go into prostitution to support their drug or alcohol habits. However; their are deep emotional disturbances within them that caused them to be a co-dependent of alcohol or drugs in the first place. Passing a Federal law against prostitution will do nothing to solve the problem. If the federal government is interested in doing something to reduce or irradicate the solicitation of prostitution, than they need to spend that money on support groups. Women need support groups to motivate them into changing their mind set on how they feel about their bodies. Our society could contribute by stop using female sexuality as a major selling point. This country is obsessed with sexuality. It's ironic how a country that is suppose to be so religious has one of the biggest pornagraphic industries in the world. A law is not going to change the mind set of a society that created this lust for sexual pleasures.

Most women that start out in prostitution are merely teenagers that are runaways and are lost in the world. Prostitution becomes the easiest and most convenient way for them to earn a living. Many of them are brutally beaten, robbed and even sometimes murdered for their profession. If they want to go after somebody; Go after the John's that are luring them into this lucrative decadent profession.
