In order for the U.S. government to take the issue of environment seriously, there should be tough regulations against offenders and abusers of the environment. Global warming is a phenomenon that requires governmental intervention to combat effectively. With the findings of experts in respect of devastating effects of global warming on the lives of living and non -living things alike, it is a matter of time for the problems to get out of hands if not properly tackled right now.
The issue has generated more debates in recent time than any other problem facing mankind in the twenty-first century. It is based on this that analysts are worried about the level of awareness created to ensure that more people are well informed about the problems associated with global warming, and how they can genuinely contribute to solving them. Industrialized nations have the responsibility to control their waste products from polluting the environment, the lack of which can be very disruptive to the general well being of the environment.
Governmental regulations should be followed with penalty for offenders, while more information about the problems are released periodically to ensure that people's awareness about global warming is raised to an appreciable level. Experts in the field of environment should be allowed to have uninterrupted access to information about any particular data they may consider necessary for the benefit of disseminating information about global warming.
Former vice-president Al Gore's contribution to solving the problems of global warming can not be overemphasized. Having taking it upon himself to be a leading advocate of better environment, he has relentlessly pursue the cause with vigor and resolute than any other personality of note. It is on record that Gore put his resources to fighting for the good of the environment, with the hope that the world will be better for it. However, any personal effort on the problem should be supported with government intervention and legislation to ensure compliance.
That the environment needs all hands on deck to ensure its safety and security is a foregone conclusion. What we do not have is the time, as time is not our friend on this matter. The earlier we brace up for the problem at hand, the better for the present generation and the yet to be born. Government's enactment of tough regulations can only be effective if the people involved own up on their responsibility and give the necessary support to ensure success on the fight against global warming.
