Wh o sings a gorgeous song, "A Little Not Too Over You"? Who's first album climbed the charts and went gold with sales of over 640,000? Who has the look of a child and the voice of a seasoned adult with his amazing tenor voice? The young man is David Archuleta from Utah, the son of musician parents and one of five children? He is the amazing David Archuleta.

When I first watched David Archuleta on American Idol, I thought he wouldn't make it to the next round. I knew this Utah raised boy wouldn't be seen on the next show. I was so wrong!

David sings songs that are pretty unusual for young guys. He became a heartthrob with teens and when I look at him, I still see a boy not yet wet behind the ears. Then again, he could be my grandson!

Since I love the show American Idol, I'm a great "Couch Critic." This young boy and his child-like looks didn't miss a beat in both his voice and the choice of songs he sang. He was amazing. Up against another man of the same first name, David Archuleta persevered. I still loved his singing yet, still just knew he wouldn't make it to the next round. Week after week went by, and I still listened to David. He always looked so surprised, so much so he was brought to tears when told he would be "Going to Las Vegas, Baby!" according to Randy Jackson's excited voice.

In Las Vegas, Archuleta sang his way to the tough spot of final round. He was pitted against David Cook. The tense moments had come to a near end. David Archuleta was not the winner, but, outside of not winning the large cash amount, he was a huge winner.

He has gone on to record hit after hit. The young man cut his first single, "Crush," and his first album climbed on the Billboard charts to Number 2. Not too darned "shabby" for a young man I would have sworn couldn't make it to the next round. I was so wrong!

I didn't know until recently he has been singing since he was six years old. His singing is phenomenal, his dress is still about the same; not funky, freaky chains; no tattoos, no rings on his forehead, nose or chin. He is plain nice. Someone I wouldn't be afraid to let my daughter go out with.

His schedule looks like the "Who's Who?" of the music world. He has been on television shows galore, concerts all over the place, is soon going to appear on the Hannah Montana show, and people are following suit, and dressing in the "David Archuleta" style. This young man is someone to keep your eye on and watch the charts for his music; he won't disappoint you.

He has web-sites galore, fans all over the world, and still looks like a young "wet behind the ears" kid. How proud his family is of this wonder-child.

Young David Archuleta, I'm still "A Little No Too Over You." Thank you for setting the music world on its ear. Thank you for singing songs I can understand, and thanks for still looking and dressing like you are "wet behind the ears."

What a nice guy! What a voice! How lucky we are to have met David Archuleta on American Idol and for hearing him sing his way into our hearts.
