Who is God?

God is nothing. Nothing more then what we make of him, nothing but a figment of hope that most of civilization clings onto to have meaning in life. God is as real as any other mythical being, but to many people he exists, many people believe in his existence simply to appease their own desires. There is no ultimate being if your a man who believes in pure logic, there are no myths and legends to those who don't accept random stories from people with no credibility who they have never met. So who is god other then a the mystic figure dominating most religions? Nobody. God is not a woman, not a man, not a being of any sort. In some ways, I think God is a later adaption of when people would believe in santa clause. They would grow up believing something only until they discover its completely ridiculous, but still cling to a more ridiculous story. I think the reason behind this is that everybody needs a reason to live, and if you just die, then there is no reason to live. But maybe there just isn't.

God is war, God is ignorance, but most of all, God is blind happiness. I think it is clear I am not a religious man, and although that offends some people, I am still willing to speak out against "who god is". I think one day the world will have to come to terms with their own failures, and the sooner the better. The testaments, scriptures, or whatever you heard of this god from is all a lie, a complete fabrication made by a civilization when the average IQ was estimated below 70, and found its way to connect to an otherwise rational world. But why create such a lie? why would someone bother? Well, in ancient times, nobody understood what the big burning ball of flame was in the sky, or why it got dark at night and how living organisms functioned, so in these days it was not unreasonable to believe in some form of magic that ties all these things together with no questions asked. Well, now that we understand the world around us, isn't it time we dropped these myths and started believing only in what is real, if not for us, then to help our civilization leave this barbaric past behind us so we can get on with our own spiritual and mental evolution.

Now that I got my point across, I feel I have weeded out most religious bigots from my text. Now those of you still reading, i would like to ask yourself "Why does god make sense?" and try to deliberate what exactly it is you believe. Then ask "what is real?" and if both of those two questions are asked as realistically and truthfully as possible you should be able to understand why someone might be skeptic. But what is the advantage of being a non-religious man. The answer is simple, there has been countless deaths over who's god is the most believable, countless wars on entire civilisations. This should end here, in a society of strongly intelligent beings. God is no more then a reason for a life that in truth, has no real meaning.

This is not to say im not envious of the religious, The religious have all they want in life, even if what they want makes no sense. They beleive in something seemingly dilusional, but in doing so have a reason to live and love in life. In this sense religion has helped many, but for every live enriched, there has been a life lost. Almost balancing out is not a good enough reason to have a society beleive in a random book of made up "facts".

So who is god? God is a lie, god is death, and god is the remnants of a dark and barbaric past.
