In today's NBA, fights, brawls, and others of the sort are continuously breaking out. Today people love crime, thugs, n fighting. Since almost every professional athlete wants to be rememebered for what they did on the court, even if it may not be their basketball skills.
Say ten to twenty years ago the NBA would have more and more restricitions aginst players to do something and coaches, refferees, and managers were more strict about it. Nowadays players seem to do what ever they feel they want to do. Take Ron Artest for an example, he entered the crowds and attacked another fan who supposedly "threw a cup" at ROn Artests face. Since the leage doesn't seem to have such control over the players anymore he was simply suspended for nearly half a season which if an ordinary person did such a thing they would have been arrested and thrown in jail.
