Poetry: Get over it

by Adam John

Created on: March 10, 2009   Last Updated: March 16, 2009

Hey there Mrs

I'll tell you what this is

Life comes in dribs and drabs

And sticky little pieces

Get over it

A person of your ilk

Shouldn't cry over spilt milk

Whether from the cow or

That which makes Goats cheeses

Get over it

You mustn't make a scene

Refrain, don't vent your spleen

Keep your own counsel

And discreetly write a thesis, then,

Get over it

When the above is done

For now you will have won

But not for very long

For so few people it pleases

Get over it
