The World Wide Web gives us a wonderful advantage over our predecessors. It allows us to find information in the blink of an eye. We can talk to people in other countries and not have to pay long distance to call them. We can play games, get music and shop without ever leaving home. It's hard to believe that there could actually be anything bad about it.
Hold onto your seats. There are negative things about the internet. These things can impact our lives tremendously and should be considered when you are using the internet for whatever great thing you want to find today.
With a little guidance, we can avoid the negative side of the internet and just enjoy the ride. Here are a couple of things you may want to be on the look out for:
1. Predators- They are everywhere and they are waiting for you or your child. It is extremely important to be aware of the fact that not everyone on the internet is as honest about themselves are you are about yourself. Take precautions so that you or other family members don't fall prey to these evil-doers.

It can be as innocent as finding out where you go on the internet to use the information as a way to send spam to your email. It can be as malicious as trying to steal your identity or wreak havoc on your computer system.
In order to avoid this from happening, you should take steps such as Norton or McAfee anti-ware. This will help protect you and your personal information.
3. Scammers- These people are looking to empty your bank account. Beware of the ads that pop-up promising you that you can make millions or lose weight without doing a thing. They just want your money. These scammers are modern day flim-flam artists that can talk you out of your money before you even know they were there. Don't send money to anyone that is promising you something that is too good to be true. They usually are too good to be true.
4. Laws- There are few laws that govern the internet. In fact, there would be few ways to enforce it anyway. The internet spans the entire world. Although the internet can help prove the guilt of someone, a person normally isn't prosecuted for harassing someone over the internet. It is best to take steps to prevent those people from entering your internet world. There are ways to block
