The pain and the strife of this world tear us down at times.
We hurt so bad that we lose sight of the good.
We don't let anyone in, we don't see the simple little pleasures of life anymore.
We close our eyes and heart, to God, to our family, and to our friends.
We hide away by ourselves, and start to rot away.
But inside we desperately are seeking a way out.
We just need someone to help us, to boost us up.
To just show us some kindness, is all that we would need.
To break through the bonds that hold us and help bring us the cross of Jesus Christ.
So that we may live in the light and love of the ones around us.
