love letters and songs. He helped her write her music and learn how to lead a band with all her qualities. Everyone is reading this saying "Yeah, she road on his coat tails" or that she used him. So what? No one can say they never benefited from their spouses work or income. From what I can tell, Kurt did love her, even if it was just for a time.

Nirvana was huge all over the world. Kurt and Courtney were habitual heroin users and Kurt was becoming a star, much to his dismay. He hated being popular when all he wanted was to be alone and to be himself. He loved music and didn't care either way what happend to Nirvana. I'm sure Dave Grohl is proof that music can still be played even after you're in Nirvana. Courtney became pregnant with their only child, daughter Frances Bean, causing Courtney to abruptly quit drugs. Kurt could not do so that easily. While Courtney was in labour, Kurt was in the same hospital being treated for his addiction.

The love Kurt had for Frances was evident even before she was born. He was obsessed with her ultrasound photo, calling her "a little bean", hence the name. If his and Courtney's relationship had no love in it, there was more than enough love for Frances as far as Kurt is concerned. He was a changed man in the eyes of a little baby. Look at any interview with hin at the MTV awards with her and you will see it for yourself.

There are many things in life that cannot be overcome. Kurt attempted rehab and failed. He had attempted suicide on more than one occasion and had a sense of rejection that never left him, no matter how much he was adored. The irony is what makes his life so interesting. Sometimes when things are so great, they seem like they aren't real. Or sometimes the things are actually aren't real, like drug addiction, become too real to survive. The with-drawls Kurt must have been going through leading up to the days of his suicide must have not only been physically but mentally tormenting. Kurt would have been forced to confront his childhood issues and pain, his stardom, wife and marriage and the looming cloud of failure that follows every successful artist. He left the rehab facility he was staying at only to be hounded by his panicked wife and the media. The depression, the pressure, the pain in his stomach and the fear of failure and letting his loved ones down was too much for Kurt Cobain in my mind.

His suicide note was addressed to his childhood imaginary friend Boddah and quoted the now infamous line "it is better
