The Do-Nothing Party Wake
The Old Guard Republicans are on their way out
The party is over I hope to shout.
Out with the old and in with the new
They can't win anymore and oh boy are they blue.
Some are acting like Limberger cheesies
Ultra right wingys are becoming sleazies
Who stink a lot from stirring the pot
A bucket of manure is all they've got.
Talk shows air mouthy liars and bad asses
Repeating false stories to work up the masses.
"Don't do what I do, just do what I say
Destroy your government; it's the only way.
Government is the problem not the solution
Don't listen to those concerned about pollution.
Get rid of the rules and finance regulations
Get rid of the borders that divide our nations."
Conservative ideas make republicans act radical
It's time for the old boys to take a sabbatical.
Obviously their ideas did not work out
It is time for them to go away and pout.
Forgetting to think, they cannot think rationally
Conservatives are acting irrelevant and radically.
They broadcast talking points and expect you to copy
Every word they say, even when it' is dopey.
Negative and obstructionist republican masses
In so much denial they are acting like asses
Asses that refuse to budge on the budget
To spend money on our country to support it.
These Republicans do nothing and sit on their hands
While chaos threatens to roll across the lands.
Like when we had the Hurricane Katrina crisis
They do nothing but sit in their denial oasis.
The Do-Nothing party is really celebrating a wake
They want their nation's government to drown in a lake
Of lawlessness and deregulated world finances,
Usurious interest rates and laissez-faire fancies.
To the banks they give plenty of the people's money
With no strings attached, definitely not sunny
Now we all wonder where all that money went
They cannot or will not account for a cent.
Republicans are not the only ones at this wake
Democrats, Independents, our whole country is at stake.
What ever happened to the loyal opposition
Who could discuss and work to a consensus position?
Conservative distrust of popular government
Is not what the words of our constitution meant
Popular government requires the input of us all
To take an active part lest our government fall.
To you who are tired of all these old farts
A new age is dawning so listen with your hearts.
Rejoice at this wake of the old, old guard
Their virtues are compromised and their hearts are too hard.
They have lost and they know it. Be glad!
Just laugh at them and tell them their ideas are real bad.
Tell them their unethical
