Poetry: Gloom

by Adam Smith

Created on: March 09, 2009

Shhhhhhh....

Listen to the silence
as it creeps in unnoticed
quite tears hide Violence
As the soul escapes the body
your last breathe leaves your lips
the eyes go cloudy
there's no bright light
to lead the way
only the cold windy night
where you are to stay
time stands still
as the noise nears
you began to feel the chills
you tremble with fear
memory's began fade away
you reach out to keep them near
the images begin to tare
as they slip through you grasp and disappear
