Your friends or family have just accepted your always open invitation for a visit. Now what? What will you do to keep them entertained while they visit with you? Don't panic! Chances are there are some great places to visit and keep your guests happy right in your own backyard.
Begin with your visitors' likes and dislikes. Are they motivated by educational experiences? If so, check out historical sites and museums in your area. Yes, they are in your community even if you aren't aware of them yet! Generally, these types of activities are reasonably priced.
Do your guests long for a great outdoor adventure? Search for zoos, National and State Parks, aquariums or even a safari park. The price range here is varied so you are sure to find a good reasonably priced outdoor adventure for everyone.
Are children in the visiting group of guests? Seek out amusement parks, mini-golf, skating, a water park or a petting zoo. These locations are sure to keep the children amused and the adults content.
Do they enjoy tours of places they have never visited before? Almost all communities have carriage, trolley or walking or self-guided tours of their noteworthy sites of interest. These tours are often very budget friendly or even free.
Are your guests enraptured by live theatre, plays or classical music? Is there a foodie in the midst of the visitors? How about a night on the town? Foodie guests will surely appreciate a tasty treat at that delicious trendy restaurant in your area maybe even the one that you've been waiting to try. Next, investigate the listing for local theatre company's shows or orchestral performances that may be appearing in your area during their visit
One last suggestion, for something simple, you can always prepare a picnic for everyone and enjoy it at your local park, lakeside or even on the beach. Take along a Frisbee, kite or ball and enjoy an impromptu game.
