your heart was bigger than life
your smile kept many spirits alive
your compassion got many through rough times
your knowledge brought out the light in the dark
your life was a search light in the midst of fog
your open arms never rejected anyone, especially the downtrodden and oppressed
you lived to love on the weak and poor
you are blessed for you were the merciful
you have more than the earth for you were the meek
you continually starved and thirsted for righteousness and now you are filled
you are being showed mercy for you were the merciful
you see God because you are the pure in heart
you are a daughter of God for you bestowed peace
your life is a life truly blessed
but my mother we miss you here on this earth
and as much as we want you back
i cant help but remember what place your in
were you get to dance and sing with angels
and look upon the face of God daily
were HE looked at you when you got to the pearly gates and said
"well done good and faithful servant with whom i am well pleased"
We may want you to come back... but we know that you are content were you are
we all love you here on this earth and this note is written from a friend a son and one who admired you daily
you are truly a hero in the eyes of many, and we miss you dearly...
Your son,

A great, great man is gone today
His presence has passed and blown away

Little by little, day by day,
I watched my hero fade away
In all my favorite fairy-tales heroes never die,
but then I grew
