Did Israel commit war crimes in Gaza?
According to the dictionary War Crimes are violations of the laws or customs of war. It includes the murder or ill-treatment of prisoners of war, the destruction of cities, towns and villages, and any devastation not justified by military necessity.
If you agree with the definition then you have answered the question yourself. Yes, Israel committed numerous war crimes in Gaza but more so against the Palestinian people.
I don't think that giving you an exhaustive lists of all the crimes and violations perpetrated against the Palestinian population would be of any use. If you still are diluted enough to believe that there were some higher reasons behind those atrocities, if you believe that there were honest mistakes and miscalculations on the army part.. Then I say you are criminally blind.
You need to wake up. Governments do have agenda, and they do not treasure human life. We are all expandable as far as they concern. Of course they would never admit it, it would be political suicide. But let's be clear here, some lives or populations are more precious than others. I am not trying to be political here, just realistic.
I would have thought that after the witnessing of the War on Terror people would have a clearer view of what are the political and economical ramifications that push a country to war against another. It is rarely for the reasons they're stating.
Iraq was because of the weapons of mass destruction, then because none was foun, the US decided that it was because because Iraq was the cradle of Al Qaeda. Or was that Afghanistan.?I am getting confused here, why did we go to war?
My opinion is because Iraq is sitting on a massive reserve of Oil and the USA is trying to minimize its dependence on foreign oil, hence occupation and control of the territory.
But hey this is just me
How long will the world stand by those massacres? How many more lives would have to be lost, shattered, displaced, destroyed by the Israeli machine of war before the World reacts? Enough!
Didn't the UN members all signed the Fourth Geneva Convention? Didn't they read it before signing it?
It seems that because of what happened over half a century ago Israel has gained immunity. Whenever challenged on moral ground Israel brandishes the flag of the Holocaust. Well this is getting old now Having been hunted down by the German does not excuse you from your current crimes. You are doing the very same thing to the Palestinians.
Have you forgotten the execution on live TV a few years ago of this father and son? The father was trying desperately to shield his child from the Israeli artillery. But they did not stop shooting until both were dead. This reminds me of my grandfather stories during World War II when the Gestapo just executed Jews for the sake of it in the street.
Is it different? Murder is murder in my book, the reasons behind it are irrelevant.
Have you forgotten how the Israeli military gathered women and children in a house for later bombing it the last Gaza War? If this is not a Crime of War I don't know what is.
Was it legal to use White Phosphorous? How can you want the arrest of the Sudanese President and not want the Israeli Prime Minister to be held legally responsible? How is that fair? How is that not double standard?
Governments speak of truth and peace between Israelis and Palestinians, but how can that be fathomable without justice?
