There are actually a lot of things that one should consider in learning how to throw a Frisbee: the angle of release, the number of spin the disc should make, the distance that should be covered of the disc and even the accuracy of hitting the target. All of these should be taken in to consideration. Frisbee is still a young sport and there are still a lot of techniques, skills and tips yet to be discovered. But as long as we had mastered the basics of throwing the Frisbee, the rest will just follow.

Speaking of learning how to throw a Frisbee, all players started playing the game by just literally throwing the Frisbee. But they don't know yet what's the right stance, grip or swing of the Frisbee. Managing to propel that disc on air is all that will matter at first.

But there are two main factors that one needs to keep in mind in throwing a Frisbee. One would be precision, that would involve whether you had landed the Frisbee right on the spot where it's suppose to be. For you to do that you have to consider the angle to the ground at which the disc is released. Second would be body-coordination, that would include the right force to be use in throwing the disc and how your shoulders, hips and legs contribute to the movement of your hands. If these all look a bit confusing right now, that's OK. As long as you have that disc on hand, instinct will dictate what's right and what's not.

So let's start learning the basics.

There are two main throws: the forehand and the backhand. It's surprising actually that it's the wrist muscles that is doing most of the work here and not your hand. Let's discuss in detail each of these throws.

*Backhand*

This is the most common throw used by Frisbee players. This is regarded as the foundation of a player's throwing skills. Backhand is more accurate and powerful than forehand. This time, force needed is not just simply from the arm or wrist but it will be using the whole body mass.

-Grip-

Although there are a lot of ways of holding the disc in this kind of throw, most basic would be for you to hold the Frisbee with your thumb on top and the other fingers slightly curled up underneath the rim. Grip the disc firmly.

-Stance-

For right handed players, you should stand with the disc with your left shoulder forward, your torso slightly facing your goal. For left handed players, you should stand with your right shoulder slightly facing your target. Your feet should be spread apart in order to have a more stable posture. Just make sure you don't
