It has been said that it is inevitable that at some point in time, in an opposite sex friendship one of the two will develop feelings for the other. This is why many people are put into an awkward position of believing it is so hard for a male and a female to be just friends. It has also been stated that at some point whether it is spoken or not, both people will question if there is more there, and if the possibility of taking this to another level could be the best situation. When both parties have these feelings at the same time, you find yourselves in the position of is this worth the risk?
When two people click in any way shape or form whether same sex friendship or opposite sex it is hard to imagine your life without that person. You can get along with millions of people but clicking with someone does not happen daily. When two people of opposite sex click it becomes complicated. So in this situation what do you do? Is it right to want more out of something that is already great.
You way the pro's and con's of the situation. You have to realize that sometimes taking things to the next level is not going to be the ultimate best situation. Relationships are tricky enough when they are new. Knowing someone's past discretions and the things that they have been through, the things you have seen them go through, makes this situation tricky. This is a friendship that has grown for one reason or another into a situation that people find it hard to understand. You yourself at this current position are questioning whether you want to pursue it.
There are no simple answers. Love is not an easy situation, in anyway. Fairy tales and amazing endings don't only exist in the movies. The difference between the people who are in loving wonderful relationships and you are they are willing to take the leap. You have to be willing to get hurt. That was the best piece of advice I ever received. Taking that next step is scary. When it is someone you already care deeply about, someone you already love, but have never fully given yourself to the stakes are even higher.
To fall in love is simple, to give in to love is not so easy.
Any two people can make a relationship work; the key is both have to be willing to put forth the effort. Anyone who said relationships are supposed to be simple was literally living in a Disney film. At the end of the day you have to hope that what you two share is strong enough to conquer anything, even the risk of a broken heart. If your friendship is solid, there really is no reason taking it to the next level, whether you end up walking down the aisle, or being the Best Woman at his wedding, should lead you to believe you two will not survive it. Good or bad.
