Poetry: Your way

by L. Dalton

Good Morning, God

Thank you God for this blessed day.

Please keep me on the path that only you may lay.

I pray as long as I may live,

Each deed I do, the praise to you I give.

Guide my steps, please don't let go.

I step with hope, yet tremble with fear.

Ever knowing Satan is so near.

When my moment on earth is done,

I want to find that heaven's my home.

Lord, I want to thank you for more than eternal life.

For as precious as it is, I'm not there yet.

I'm still in this timely world, where sin and sorrow abound.

Even as strong as they may be,

You have given simple pleasures yet to me.

When things change and our lives are not to be the same,

You always replace them with strength, that we may

Understand and overcome.

The gifts you give, ease our minds and

let us once more find beauty inside.

The days are weary, the nights seem so confussing.

Little things of no importance become mountains,

higher than I've ever seen.

It's all like a drop of water from a fresh mountain stream.

Only nothing there's nothing there, but what you see.

I pray dear, precious Lord, that you will help me climb

The drops of water as they fall.

You are the only hope I have, for in this world, there's none at all.

Bless me as I go thru today, to do your will and in your way.

Let me do honor to your name and sing

glory and praise for what Christ Jesus gave.

As long as you're with me, I'll have all I need.

But please forgive my errors, I am bur human at this time.

My needs are only you Lord, for I am the worst sinner of all time.
