They are in competition with each other every day. They want to be the best in their craft and will do anything to reach that goal. Nothing is ever good enough. They look at their work and find ways to make it better. These are the people we call writers.
There are a great many ways that writers help each other. Networking can make all the difference in the world to an authors work. It allows you to converse with others that have the same dreams and aspire to be an excellent writer.
These are the reasons that writers need other writers:
Ideas
Idea sharing helps create a flow for authors. As fingerprints are unique to each individual, so a written piece is unique to its author. Sharing ideas helps us all and in no way hinders the work of the others.
The Critique
When other writers critique our work, it allows us to become better at our task. This keeps us on our toes and allows us to see what others see when they read our work. It is an objective view of our work that helps makes the words come alive.
Encouragement
Did you ever have one of those days that it seems as though you couldn't get through another article or chapter? If you are a writer, that's exactly what can happen. There are always critics that will do everything to tear down a writers self-confidence in their work. There are times that you think you can't make it through the day. That is where networking helps the most.
If you find a great community for writers, there are many people there that are willing to read your work and tell you honestly how they see it. They will encourage you to possibly change this thing or let you know that they really love that thing about your article. They encourage you to "hang in there" when things are rough because they have been in that position themselves at times.
More Opportunities
Writers are incredibly great at sharing information about their passion. They see it as another way to get the information that is in their head, out. You will realize many more opportunities when you get involved in a network with other writers. They will lead you in directions that may have been unknown before. This can open a flood gate of chances for you to continue doing what you do in a wider spectrum.
There are many chances made available through different websites that allow you to obtain work. This will help your freelance career with a boost up the ladder. It is a guarantee that if you network with other writers, you will continuously find new areas to explore.
