Being kissed by someone you really find attractive can be mesmerizing and enlightening. Regardless of when it happens, at a young age or when you are an adult, defining your first real kiss that moves every part of your being can only be determined by the person receiving the kiss.
My first attempt at writing this article took me back to a time when I actually received my first kiss at age 14. I remember the day was sunny and warm. It was also very unexpected. A guy in school that I had a crush on invited me over to his house, took me in the back yard to sit by the creek, and in some small romantic way, convinced me to accept a kiss from him. It was sweet and breathtaking all at the same time. But what young girl wouldn't think that?
I thought by describing how that day started and what circumstances led up to that kiss would be dramatic and awe inspiring. Instead, the article was a flop. So, I took another look and decided to come from a different perspective. How many times have we been kissed for the very first time? Once, twice, maybe more? Keeping mind that each time we meet someone new and get kissed at evening's end, it is considered a first kiss.
For example, I remember being kissed by my first love in high school for the very first time. It took me a while to get to that point with him, but once the kiss happened, an entirely new array of feelings evolved. The kiss was tender and passionate all at the same time. The physical turned emotional for both of us. I also learned over time that he would be the one I judged all other kisses by. I wasn't conscious of it in the beginning, but after years of experiencing first kisses, I realized what I had done.
I turned this natural act of an imperceptible touch between two people into a criteria required for further dating. If the first kiss was good, then the guy was given the opportunity for a second date. If the kiss was bad, no chance. He was immediately deleted from my phone book. What in the world was I thinking? I mean sometimes a first kiss can be awkward for some guys. Being judgmental to that degree can be shattering to a man's ego. But, I've never changed my point of view.
There is something very authentic about a person who can kiss well, especially on the first attempt. For me, it says something about their character. A strong, overbearing kiss can mean he has a controlling attitude or over possessiveness. A weak, subtle kiss can be interpreted as not being confident or meaningful. And let's not forget the "tongue down the throat" kiss. Yuck! Guys, please, there is a happy medium.
So, with years of practice and a genuine likeness for kissing, I expected my suitors to be well experienced. Little did I realize I would soon meet my match. It is with great pleasure that I can reveal my very first, sincere, remarkable, and genuinely sweet kiss was given to me by my current husband, Niko. Words can not accurately describe the remarkable tenderness, warmth, and passion he conveyed with that first kiss. It ignited fireworks, sparks, and heart pounding emotions I had never felt before. I can honestly say, this would have to be considered the kiss of a lifetime and luckily for me, my last!
