Should parents allow their babies to cry themselves to sleep? This is one hard question to answer appropriately because "no" Mother wants to hear her babying crying. Mother's I believe, "Yes," we should allow our babies to cry themselves to sleep. If we have just fed them, freshly diapered them, and have checked to ensure they are not sick. I feel babies need to be put down and allowed to cry at least ten minutes before we go in and pick them up. If we go and pick them up, and they stop crying, we will automatically know that all they want is to be cuddled by us. If we start picking our new born up and rocking them to sleep we'll be the one who suffers later.

A Mother knows if her baby is having gas problems because they will draw their legs up toward their stomach. They will also be able to check them to see if they have a temperature. If all is well, let them cry, and we'll all see, they will stop crying and go to sleep in a matter of a few minutes. Parents who runs to a baby when it first whimpers, picks it up, and starts rocking it, is doing nothing but spoiling the baby. Once we spoil a baby, I'm sorry to say, we have a spoilt brat on our hands, and this brat will take kicking tantrum's, want everything they see, and if they don't get it, they'll scream and cry for hours, need constant attention, and if they don't get it, they'll kick, scratch, and try to slap the parent, most of them will come into our bedrooms crying all night long wanting to be petted and to sleep with us, and as they grow into their teens, they'll have "no" respect for us at all and they'll will walk all over us.

Parents we shouldn't spoil our babies, if we want to live a peaceful life. Allow the baby to cry some when we know all is well with the baby, all they want is our time and attention. If we start at a young age allowing them to know that we are the parent, they will learn who is boss fairly quick. Too much affection and too much attention can spoil a baby. When a baby is spoilt, it is sheer misery for a parent and everyone who is around it. It will consume all of our extra time and attention and leave us feeling limp and tired out. There will be "no" time for anything else in our lives.

I know when my baby was small, if it moved in the crib at night, I was up to make sure that it was okay, but I never picked them up, I made sure it was okay and I went back to bed. All of us Mother's have a nature about us to allow our baby to feel it is loved as we feed and hold them. We pay them lots of attention every time we do this, and when we bathe our baby, we are constantly showing our love by cuddling it and talking to it. It is not necessary for any parent to constantly hold their babies throughout the day.
