Obama's plan to create construction jobs

Okay for now. With the plan to create construction jobs to stimulate the economy. Great temporary plan, what about the future. The jobs created over the next year will exceed the jobs lost by the big 3 automakers combined. We will begin to see the effect of the policy almost immediatly.

Jus a few problems that should be mentioned. They are construction jobs. That means that the jobs are being created for mainly uneducated laborers. Not kids who are currently graduating from college. Not people who spent the last 10 years working for the same company. It's not to say that construction workers are uneducated. There are jobs in this field that require a certian amount of college. Constuction workers are mainly young to middle aged males, who have been in the field since leaving high school.

The jobs created are only temporary. They will without a doubt last three to five years. Then what will happen to all the workers that you put in to place. Will, there be more jobs created that these people can move on to? Will they have to revert back to the unemployment line? These are legitamate questions that need answers. It will make President Obama look great early on in his term. This policy does not have the ability to carry Americans on past five years.

The best part of the policy is the creation of jobs. That is what America needs right now. You can use the idea that putting people back to work through construction jobs will open up other jobs in different sectors. This can be true. If people are earning more, they will undoubtedly spend more. This will create retail jobs, which in turn creates manufacturing jobs. We have to make items that people will buy.

In order for Obama's strategy to work. We need each and every American to want to pull together and go to work. Everyone has to put forth the effort to make it work. The policy as some see as flawed is not entirely flawed. There are parts of the policy that looks almost impossible to pull off. It's these parts will take the most work and effort by everyone. The rest of the policy will just fall into place as we move along in our recovery process. The best we can hope for is that the majority of the jobs created will create a lasting effect on the economy. It would be great to see Obama discuss his plans for beyond four years. Since most Presidents only plan for their initial term, this could be how we got into this position to start with.
