How to cure baldness, curing baldness, or how to cure male pattern baldness. These are all extremely well searched topics on the internet. There really are many things you can do to help slow down your hair loss, and to possibly thicken your hair. This is a proven fact, and there are products which have been approved by the FDA to be allowed to advertise that their products can cause hair growth, and in fact they can work on some people. The ingredient which can be applied to the scalp to prevent hair loss and to in some cases thicken your hair is minoxidil.
Minoxidil is a clear topical liquid which is rubbed into the scalp twice a day, usually after you shower in the morning, and also before going to bed. After several weeks of this regimen, you have an excellent chance of slowing down your hair loss, and in many cases can actually thicken your hair. This has been proven in clinical studies to be true, and is well worth a try. This product won't work on a totally bald scalp, but can work on people who have hair loss or thinning hair.
The chemical Minoxidil is a product which was first developed by the Upjohn Corporation, a pharmaceutical company, and is sold under the product name Rogaine. It can be purchased in most pharmacies. I've also seen it sold in Walmart, Costco, K-mart, and I'm sure that there are other stores selling Rogaine. There are two versions of this product, one for men, and one for women, but I'm not sure what the difference is, or if there really is any difference other than the packaging.
Generic Minoxidil products are now also produced by many other companies, and sold under different names, but the ones that will work have Minoxidil as an ingredient in at least a two percent strength, or you can purchase the extra strength product which has a five percent Minoxidil content.
It is also very important that you consult your doctor in regards to any hair loss to rule out the possibility of a serious illness, and he or she may also refer you to a dermatologist. Baldness can also be caused by a diet deficient in vitamins, and sometimes eating a healthy diet will slow down hair loss or can even stop abnormal hair loss. Eating healthy and taking vitamin supplements is something which should be discussed with your doctor and a nutritionist.
In general, leading a healthful life style which includes eating properly, exercising, and the use of a minoxidol product regularly can slow down hair loss, and in some cases, cause the growth and thickening of hair. Give it a try, you have nothing to lose, and you may be pleasantly surprised by the results.
