Poetry: I hate the way you love me

by Terrell Newbill

Created on: March 07, 2009

Why do I want you?

You come to me broken

Each time a new scar you need to heal

I am nothing more than your release

Until you find another to be with

You use me like a tool

And I love it.

As you lay in my arms

I whisper,

"What if one day i'm not their to pick up the pieces of your heart?"

You look at me with those soft blue eyes

And laugh softly as you say,

"That day will never come."

I hate the way you love me

If it can be called love at all
