Suggestions on where to meet women

by Paul Huxley

Created on: March 07, 2009

Meeting women in public is a HUGE opportunity that many single men consistently fail to capitalize on. If you are spending a lot of time looking for women on dating sites like E Harmony, Matchmaker, and such...or hanging out in bars and clubs, attending parties, going to social functions, but you are failing to look around yourself in every day places and situations, then you are missing out on some great opportunities!

Think about the places you might find yourself in on any given day. Places like the grocery store, McDonalds, department stores, the bank. All of these places have women in them, many of which are single and looking! The problem is not in finding these single women though, it's in figuring out how to begin a conversation and potentially start a relationship out of thin air. There are tons of different ways to do this. Here are just a few.

I'm sure you've heard or read many one liners. You've probably also heard advice telling you not to use one liners. This is true to a point. Pick up lines are usually a sure way to turn a woman off. The idea is not to seem like you are trying to pick a woman up. You have to slip past her defenses and appear to be casual.

Always be aware of your surroundings, and find things you can talk about or ask about. You also want to make sure that you are asking open ended questions to get her talking. Women like to talk, and especially love to be listened to. Initially I like to find out if a woman is available or taken.

Let's see how we can put all of these things together in a common situation. You're in the grocery store when you see a woman you might be interested in shopping in the meat section. You look for a ring and don't see one (though it wouldn't matter much if you did), and you want to know if she is single. Just ask her a question about her boyfriend (husband, whatever) related to the things you see around you. You might ask her, as she is picking out some meat, what she plans on cooking with it. Make it sound like you're looking for ideas. After she tells you what she's going to cook, act like it's a good idea, but not the one you were looking for. Then ask her a question like, "What's your favorite meal that your boyfriend cooks?". This gets you an immediate answer to whether or not she's attached, while at the same time opening up the door for you to continue conversation if she's available.

Another great approach is to join in on a conversation a woman is having. Be careful not to interrupt, or to join in
