He said if you could walk a mile in my shoes
If you could see all the heartaches I've been through
And if you could feel the pain of these thornes upon my head
Or maybe wear the robe of blood stained red
Then maybe you could see why all this had to be
Why I had to go to Calvary
I did it all for you, I did it all for you
So that you might live forever more
He said if you could only see how the soldiers treated me
As they hung me from that old old tree
Then maybe you could understand as they pierced my feet and hands
That I did it all for you
He said if you could only see, how the crowd was mocking me
And as the tears rolled down my face
And as they passed the bitter cup
From which I must sup, and as I prayed
Father let it pass from me
I did it all for you
I did it all for you
So that you might live for evermore
