The World of Children
The old always envy the world of children, but this is not always so.
For when a child breaks a glass, he is sure to get a scalding,
When a child goes to bed late, he is sure to get a rebuke,
When a child does not perform well in school, he is sure to get a dressing down.
But when father breaks a glass, mother only says,"Well"
When father gets his spelling wrong, mother only says, "It is due to tiredness."
The world of children is not always full of fun, for they never have good reasons for their mistakes.
