The cost of dishonesty to humans

by Carol Ann F. Maloney

Created on: March 06, 2009

It has been truthfully stated that "Whatsoever you do to others you do to yourself" and "What goes around comes around". Reputation of poor payment and termination to avoid payment is a "shot in the foot" mistake that spreads a poor, counter productive reputation on the internet. Helium has wisely not submitted the site to such a serious cost of dishonesty?

The Helium website is well organized and has much to offer in spreading of knowledge and truth that frees We the People. It is not impeded by the short-sighted, self-destructive motivation of short term profit gains with negative long term results.

Creating a core of tight knit, qualified Helium personnel to judge and terminate undeserving writers , after help and recourse of change, is necessary to maintain Helium integrity with the appropriation of copyright rights for continuing, well-deserved, add-generated profit for the many knowledge-dispersing benefits of Helium.

Fortunately, Helium survival is possible with the ability to adapt and overcome self-defeating policies that threaten their future success Helium provides excellent exposure opportunities for dissenting opinion and knowledge, with which it is primarily engaged, with a subordinate interest in profit.

Dishonesty can be a result of withholding truth, leading others to draw false conclusions by hearing only half truths. History is often changed and rewritten in this manner by an opposing ruler to make him "right" and the deposed ruler "wrong". This has a cost of deriving future generations of truths required to imporve.

Dishonesty can be in the form of dissimulation which provides "evidence" that one is in agreement, when they are not, and will perform a desired action, when they have no intention of doing so. England's Queen Elizabeth avoided the complications of marriage pressures by giving others unfulfilled hopes, when she had no intention of marrying. Her successor, King James vi of Scotland also avoided court pressures to act with dissimulations he would act, when he had no intention to act..

The promise of help for upfront payment, with no intention to help, and the promise of something for nothing by helping another out of a falsified financial situation are common scams with unending cost to human victims. In this category are unfullfilled campaign "prosperity" promises that raise unrealized hopes of economic relief, by increasing future costs to taxpayers who are falsely convinced help is coming when only limited, temporary "help".is given.
