When I first read the books, I fell in love with all of the characters. In the movie, none of the characters were like I had imagined. I imagined Bella just as they had cast her in the movie, same with Edward but the events disappointed me. I wanted a few moments to happen in the movie more than anything. I very much disliked the first kiss scene, I thought it to be against what the books are about. It was to intense for it to match up to the feeling that the books put out. Bella is supposed to be a very good, well-behaved young lady and in that scene, she acted immature and more than PG13 rated.
I enjoyed the movie of course, but it could have followed by the book just a bit closer. I'm sure that it would have been impossible to make sure everything happened on screen as it had in the books but they should have stuck to the main line of the story, not adding in everything but not adding in the moments that did not take place in the book. I was expecting to see exactly what I had imagined as I read those four wonderful books. I was let down once I noticed pieces were missing. Hopefully New Moon will be a bit more like the book because that book was amazing, it was overpowering and made me cry for days. I am amazed at the cast they chose for Twilight. It wasn't expected but I did enjoy the acting styles of Robert Pattinson and Taylor Launtner, they played Edward and Jacob perfectly, their on screen anger for each other was absolutelybrilliant. I was shocked at the tension you could clearly see on the screen. they are two wonderful actors beyond my expectations completely.
I was never a big fan of Kristen Stewart until this movie, she played a very wonderful part and she did her job well. I was surprised, to be honest, I had heard nothing but bad things about her until she stared in Twilight. if she wasn't already famous, she surely is now. My expectations were very high for this movie and at some points they were not exceeded but in most areas, this movie was amazingly like the movie. The hostility and the fear and the passion are all as strong and vibrant as in the books and everyone that worked together on this film deserve to be proud, it turned out great. Here where I live, all the people, ranging from seven years old to seventy is in love with the story of Bella and Edward.Mrs. Meyers is brilliant and we all thank here for that. The movie turned out great but nothing is better than the books.
