The Whirlwind
The wind blows cold against my back ,
then burns against my face.
I feel it's pushing and pulling me around,
never letting me stand in one place.
I try to be patient and wait until it calms,
but it only seems to grow stronger.
Suddenly, a thought I had
comes flying by and is there no longer.
Then the wind picks up and I'm flying too.
around so fast , I can't breathe.
My needs I reach for, I must do,
then like all the rest , the wind it takes them too.
I search for reasons as to what this is,
and why it came to me.
Then I see someone else in the wind,
who says , "this is life , can't you see?"
Each day was a twisting of wind,
not knowing if it would bring happiness or strife.
It finally made me understand;
I can't win, because I'm caught in the winds of life.
Holding to the things I can, for as long as it may be.
Too much evil is gathered in it's quest for our lives.
Then I must let go for it will yet come to me.
I only have one weapon, I must believe.
The whirlwinds of life are strong and seldom kind.
We never stop to think how we will deal,
with something that makes us weak and blind.
Though we always try to differ between real and surreal.
I'll be thrown out from the storm, no more wounds will I feel.
Nothing can hurt, wound nor bagger me anymore.
For Christ has reached out His hand to me,
and with His touch I'm forever healed.

The Whirlwind
The wind blows cold against my back ,
then burns against my face.
I feel it's pushing and pulling me around,
never
I want unbelieveable happiness,
Permanent sunshine, clear blue skies
Garnished ever so lovely by clouds
Distinctly poised
Sunrise you brighten my days, you lengthen my happiness.
Sunrise you fill me with a love and joy
that I never want to end.
What do I want?
I want to be kind
when it's easier to be mean,
I want to be enthusiastic
when I don't feel keen.
I want to be
by C.D. Pomfret
Fading Fast....
All I want to do is drink
Then complain about the wrath
I enjoy the time I spend while drunk
But dread the pains
