Children are like sponges when it comes to learning. They soak it all up. Have you ever met a kid that does not love to use things like scissors, glue, paper, crayons, markers, and all kinds of stuff and make things with that stuff? They are just willing and ready for anything and everything that they can learn.
Crafting is wonderful to share with your children. It is something that they can pass on to their children. It is also a great time to bond with your children in a unique way. If you introduce crafts to your children they would probably rather do crafts than anything else. They are still learning when you are teaching them how to craft but yet for them it is so much fun.
It is like playing but doing it productively. When you show your children how to do crafts you are encouraging them to use their imagination. You are showing them that they can do anything that they put their mind to just as long as they try and put their heart into it. Children having a great imagination is always a good thing. It can help them later on in life to be creative.
They will learn that instead of having to go out and but evrything that sometimes they can make it. And save theirselves money. Why buy what you can make? Sharing the crafting experience with children could also keep them out of trouble. If you get them interested at an early age then they will very interested in crafting and may would rather do that than say going out with friends.
It would be nice when your children grow up and have kids for them to be so interested in crafts that they bring your grandchildren over and you all do crafts together. It is a wonderful time to bond in a very quality way. Such a wonderful strong bond to have with your children and your family. Another benefit for crafting with your children is that when it is Grandma's birthday it would be a wonderful time for your children to make a gift for her. Not just something that they went and bought. Something that they made for her from her heart.
It would be the best gift. And one that came from there heart. Sharing crafts with your children could be a great way to get other children interested in crafts also. When they tell their friends and their friends try it they could also enjoy it. My 6 year old daughter loves to scrapbook and she told her cousin about it. So now when her cousin comes they want to scrapbook. They both love it so much. The best thing though is that you can bond with your children while sharing the crafting experience with them.
