though it was so long ago
When he walked out and left
for reasons I did not know
Though he was gone
at least from my view
I never questioned his love
for the answer I already knew
There never was any doubt
that he loved me so
for I can still remember
the love from so long ago
But that was then and this is now

for finally I have found him
I could never accept defeat
For years that part of my heart
was truly broken and sad
now it beats with life again
for I have finally found my Dad
