Lonely Christmas
One more visit
To make tonight
One more bell to ring
One more present
To leave in sight
And one more song to sing
One more cousin
That I must see
One more friend to kiss
One more promise
My heart must make
To you, and it is this:
Each breath I take
Each winter's flake
Each ribbon I untie
Will take me to
A time with you
I know can never die
Each memory
Of Christmas past
Each wish for God's good will
Will surely make
Me know, my love
That you are with me, still.
Grieve not for me
Where you are now
Or mourn this starry light
Our hearts are one
Throughout all time's
Eternal Christmas night.

The curtains of life
Opened on me
Dropped by parachute
In Afghanistan
A mistake of
Co ordinates
The night lands
by Paul Roberts
Packages under the tree and stocking hung with care,
Christmas melodies filing the air,
yet .....you will not be here.
