When looking for friendship, you look for trust, honesty, comfort, and compassion. Someone who shares the same compassion in the same interests as you do. A true friend is someone you're not afraid to admit you love, and would do anything to keep them from harm. Such friends always come at the most important times in life. They become a diamond in the rough, and you would die before you let anything bad befall them.

They become people who will thrive with you, and you would gladly wait for them to catch up to you, because it would be torture for you to see them walk alone in life. Hold them, carry them, let them carry you in your times of need...Another trait of a true friend, you lose the barricade that you have created for yourself whenever they are around. You are you...even if only for a few minutes, and that makes your day feel that much more complete.

In conclusion, treasure and love your true friends. For they will always be there for you, through the highest of highs, and the lowest of lows. We all need someone that can help make the often painstaking journey through life easier. They are the beacon of light at the top of the mountain, the burning bright light that gets you to your destination safely.
