The heart is the ultimate traitor, while the mind takes the blame;
And the king weeps on the chessboard,
for his queen left him for a rook.
The bathroom is no longer clean,
as it shamefully resembles the wounded man's heart,
filled with rust and clogged by dirt.
Memories of her final sonnet remain in his forethoughts,
as he struggles to breathe after emotional daggers cause him to stumble,
blow after blow,
and hour after hour;
he cannot put up a defense,
for he cannot afford any lawyer;
and there is no place to run away from these pangs,
unlike birds in flight that enjoy the escape from grass and gravel.
Some emotions will eventually escape, while others do not subside;
however, this man needs immediate medical attention,
for love has stolen all four chambers of his heart.
